Cook, Wine, & Dine: Pasta Making in Rome

The evening of our first full day in Rome, we took a Pasta Making Class through Walks of Italy. This was one of my absolute favorite activities on our entire trip.  The approximately 4 hour long class was held in a rooftop studio and terrace in Rome, and we learned how to make our own pasta dishes from scratch while enjoying Prosecco and appetizers.

Our chefs, Stefano and Federica, were Italian natives and fantastic teachers. Both full-time chefs, they took us through step by step as we made delicious Ravioli di ricotta and Spaghetti alla chitarra. Our small class of 14 was made up of young couples like ourselves from Canada, England, and the U.S., and it was fun to see where each group had traveled on their vacation to Rome.

We sat down to dinner to enjoy our hard work, as well as gelato and lemoncello for dessert! It was a wonderful evening, and even my husband had a great time learning to make pasta from scratch!
